In lieu of two of my favorite people sharing their news of getting a baby Chesapeake I decided to post these photos. On a recent trip home I spent some time in the gorgeous potato fields playing with the dogs. Luna is the Chese. She will be 15 years old next winter! I still remember bringing her home in a hand crate, on the plane, from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Hence the name Luna. A name which I plan to incorporate into my own child's name one day...partly because I love this dog so much! She has been amazing and continues to have such a free, playful spirit despite her age. She is so warm and loving, super smart, could have kicked any dogs ass in a dock distance-jumping contest, and in swim endurance, and has managed to outlive all of her 9 brothers and sisters by 3 years. Nat & Pat, you are gonna LOVE your new addition to the family. I can't wait to meet little Sunny <3
