I recently had the fabulous opportunity to see Brooklyn Rider in Portland (thanks Uncle Robert and Uncle Bill!). A fun, energy-filled string quartet with fantastic chemistry and extremely engaging, this fab-foursome knows how to put on a good show. Certainly for the imaginative audience as both my friend were transported to all kinds of wonderful places through our daydreams as the music played on. Our favorite was a Brooklyn Rider original. A classical/blue-grassy piece produced by one of the violin players that got the whole audience giggling at one point when the violinist paused to belt out some southern-accented lyrics about his girlfriend getting caught sleeping in another mans bed.
